COOPER: has been with CAN TF-1 since 2002, he is a pure breed male Golden Retriever and celebrates his birthday on April 27th. Cooper, like his dad Barkley also works for Vancouver Fire/Rescue and has been trained in the location of live humans, he weighs in at about 62 pounds. Cooper has been trained that “all humans carry toys just for him”. As a result of this training he has a very high play drive/ball drive and loves to hunt for humans |

BARKLEY: is a pure breed male Golden Retriever and celebrates his birthday on June 22nd. He has worked with Vancouver Fire/Rescue since 1998 and has also been a member of Vancouver Urban Search & Rescue (CAN TF-1) since 1999. Barkley has been trained in the location of both live and deceased humans. He is an extremely valuable resource and works under the direction of the Search Team. Even being one of the oldest dogs on the team he still has the play drive to keep up with the younger dogs. |

Natty: was new to Vancouver Urban Search & Rescue in 2006. She is a young Border Collie/Blue Healer X and also works for the Burnaby Fire Department. Natty is a local dog from the Langley area and tips the scales at about 32 pounds. She is trained in the location of live humans, and because of her high drive and energy she is ideal for search work. Because of Natty’s size and agility she is a valued asset for the team. |

"Cody" has been a member of the USAR team since 1998. He gained FEMA Type II(basic)certification in 1998 and Type I (advanced) certification in 1999. Cody is also certified to the provincial search dog standards set by the RCMP and PEP in the Province of BC for tracking,wilderness search, and avalanche search.

‘Gander’ a Chocolate Labrador Retriever born September 2005, Gander is in basic training with his handler Cameron Clark. In the future Gander will be training in the new Disaster Search Canine Certifications Standards set out by CAN TF-1, and serve alongside Cameron as part of the Vancouver team.
In Gander's spare time he loves to tease his handler’s children Duncan and Heather by stealing their socks. You will always get a great big hello from Gander when he meets you.
